bnt is based in ten Central and East European countries, offering legal advice in all core areas of commercial law. Our clients come both from Central and East European countries as well as from Western Europe and overseas. In Riga/Latvia bnt is represented by 12 colleagues, of whom 10 are legal specialists. The team is led by Theis Klauberg and Arturs Krauklis, who have both been legally advising German and international enterprises in the Baltic countries for more than ten years. Together with their team of experienced corporate lawyers they thus deploy the necessary understanding of different legal and business cultures, in order to adapt to individual client needs. The quality management system of the Riga is audited and certPharmaceuticals, Life Science, Biotechnology,
and High Technology form a core area of the legal consultancy
work of bnt in the Baltic States, Belarus,
and the other offices. Our clients are pharmaceutical companies,
distributors, clinical research institutions, high technology
research and industrial companies, as well as universities
and clinics.
The partners at the Riga office
are specialists in the fields of intellectual property (Partner
Theis Klauberg is a senior lecturer in IP at the Riga Graduate
School of Law) and patent law (Partner Arturs Krauklis studied
patent law at the University of Stockholm).
They have published in these areas and have been involved
in research studies involving the transformation of the Latvian
health care system. Two international bnt practice groups
(Pharmaceuticals & Life Science, Intellectual Property)
allow for fast and efficient consultancy in cross-border
regulatory or other issues.
